Unlike most people my age, I have been in eighth grade for the last two years

haha, at first I thought the characters were talking about Japan before I realized the spots were probably not-yet-revealed dialogue :P

Also, I'm absolutely loving the geometric/primitive style you developed this summer in some of the other stuff you've posted. The crashing waves in "Sighting" look like they could be described by a series of equations--it's beautiful! (and it is a bit like a Moomin shape-I definitely see that ;)) I really lose myself in those abstractions, like in a piece of music :)

D: Thanks so much David! Yeah, I'm definitely having fun with this new style.. I think you summed up pretty much exactly what I was going for (Tove Jansson + simple geometry + indigenous art). I think that as my artwork for Eighth Grades grows brushier and inkier, I'm trying to find ways to hold on to that mega-precise clean line style, and maybe this is that outlet. I love your new songs.

T: Thanks Thi! I just keep gushing to people about how cool your project sounds. I can't wait to see it (and Eighth Grade) move further towards completion this October.
