This spring Uncivilized Books will be publishing my first-ever collection, titled It Never Happened Again. It includes both Hawaii 1997 and a new, previously unreleased story. Uncivilized is one of my very favorite publishers, and I feel very lucky to get to work with Tom on this sucker. Debuting TCAF 2014!
the ideal viewing conditions are on warm summer nights looking west
first the stars begin to act strangely,
drifting together and condensing
until they become a single band across the sky.
once the band is complete everything becomes dark
at this point it is dangerous to remain on the shore
though it appears slow from a distance, his approach is terrifyingly swift
