Made six months ago from a china dish, some rocks I stole from a beach in Turkey (really) branches from our Christmas tree, tin foil, magazine cutouts, plastic bags, a toothpick, a piece of paper, and potato slices (to keep the trees standing up). Considering that our Japanese home-stay helped arrange the rocks, I'd say this is an impressively multicultural little endeavor.
